Shipping Policy

At American Ant Store, we take special care in delivering healthy live ants and high-quality supplies to your door. Please read the following shipping guidelines carefully before placing your order.


Live Insect Orders

  • Carrier & Method: All live insect orders are shipped via UPS Next Day Air.

  • Processing Time: Orders ship within 3 business days of purchase.

    • Please note: Next Day Air refers to the transit time once shipped, not the day the order is placed.

    • Special circumstances (such as holidays, extreme weather, or UPS network delays) may extend the shipping date.

  • Flat-Rate Fee: All live insect orders include a flat-rate shipping charge of $24.99.

  • Same-Day Shipping for Gifts:

    • If you need your order shipped the same day, email support@americanantstore.com with the subject line: “SHIP TODAY – [Your Order Number]”.

    • Same-day shipping requests must be received before 12:00 PM CST.

  • Packaging: Every live order is shipped in custom insulated packaging, designed to ensure the health and stability of your queen or colony during transit.


Dry Goods Orders

  • Non-living items (nests, feeders, accessories, etc.) may ship via UPS or USPS, depending on the order size and destination.

  • Standard processing times are 1–3 business days.


Live Arrival & Guarantee Coverage

  • Even in the event of UPS or weather-related delays, our Live Arrival Guarantee and 1-Week Guarantee remain valid (see Return & Guarantee Policy for full details).

  • Customers must still follow reporting requirements and care standards to remain eligible.


Important Notes

  • We cannot ship live insects to PO boxes. Please provide a physical address for delivery.

  • Customers are responsible for being available to receive and promptly open live insect shipments upon arrival.

  • Tracking information will be provided once your order has shipped.

  • Any shipping issues should be reported immediately to support@americanantstore.com.
